Hi! I’m Chris Olson
I am creative at heart and a designer by trade. My Colorado-based studio offers UI/UX design, custom Squarespace websites, brand identity design, and graphic design.
I am inspired by sunny and snowy days and the beautiful mountains I can see from my studio window. In my free time, I enjoy skiing, hiking, and spending time with my family and my fur babies.
I have a background in marketing and textile design. I designed books and marketing materials when I began working as a designer. I have always loved illustration and creating patterns, so about a decade ago, I started working with two textile design agencies.
My interest in website design and UI/UX design grew after joining masterclasses at Adobe as well as taking classes and getting certified in UI/UX design with Google and the California Institute of the Arts. (You can see my coursework and the certification listing on my Certifications page.)

A little bit about me

My favorite movies are You’ve Got Mail or It’s Complicated. My favorite shows at the moment are Ted Lasso and streaming episodes of The Mindy Project, The Office, and Shrinking.

Comfort and durability are important. I have dogs and some have been very big with those monster paws that destroy wimpy fussy stuff. I like a modern style mixed in with some favorite retro pieces. There will always be plenty of bookcases and bins for dog toys.

Depending on my mood, I love popcorn, pizza, and cold cereal.

I live in Colorado so the mountains are my favorite place to go for the day—skiing or hiking. I also love to try new restaurants or breweries with family and friends.

I have a background in digital design and surface design. I have been working in this industry for more than 10 years. Last year, I started also working on UI/UX design. Creating beautiful, compelling websites and apps is a good fit for me because I have always been passionate about understanding the user’s experience and solving their pain points. My goal with UI/UX projects is to create on-screen experiences that connect, teach, communicate, and inspire.
